How to become a successful journalist? What are the tips of conducting good interview? Is it true that the broadcast is full of stress and emotions? Students of the Eurasian National University were able to get answers to all these questions during a meeting with representatives of the “Khabar” agency.
On February 22, media representatives held a master class for students of the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science, which was organized under the leadership of Kabylkanova Ayazhan, chairman of the youth center of the Faculty of Journalism. The dean of the faculty Kairat Sak and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “Khabar” agency Rinat Kertayev performed with their opening speech. Noted that many workers of “Khabar” are graduates of that faculty, saying how close our faculty and the agency administration are,. For the first time, opening of a new class named after the “Kazakhstan” TV channel was announced (two years ago the name of the “Khabar” channel was given to one of the classes at the university).
The master class was held in the format of “Kaztalks”, each speaker was given only 15 minutes for the performance. Then the listeners could ask questions they were curious about, who had the most interesting ones could get memorable gifts from the “Khabar” agency.
Yerlan Igisinov, director of the “Khabar” TV channel, was the first speaker who shared his secrets of conducting a good, high-quality interview. He noted the importance of the preparation for the meeting with the interviewee. Summed up his speech with the guidance for future journalists: “Never put yourself above or below your interlocutor! You are a journalist, be able to be a moderator”.
Graduate of our university, a well-known TV presenter Laura Zhakyp prepared young people for stressful situations during a live broadcast. Students could find out what it is like- to take responsibility at critical moments. She also touched on the topic that is actual nowadays- the abundance of young, sometimes even inexperienced TV hosts.
The last ones were the favorite of young generation, the author and MC of about 10 programs Nursultan Kurman and Orken Kenzhebek, blogger-journalist whose outfit was totally paid by the sponsors who send him their products to observe. Nursultan wished students to enjoy student days and lead an active life, revealing themselves from all sides. Orken Kenzhebek suggested students to develop their creativity and try themselves in the field of PR, which once turned a regular piece of metal into a high-speed car with the name of a horse.
