Drink or Think?

How often do you hear about benefits of drinking water and how often did you thought about the disadvantages? Drinking water is also known as potable water or improved drinking water that is intended for unlimited and safe daily consumption by humans and other living beings. Well – known fact, that the water is essential of life.

But does water have enough advantages?

If you are living in region where potable water isn’t a problem and you can buy bottle of water in any market, you are probably didn’t thought about what happens before the water spills into the bottle. But we need to remember that there’s many parameters of water on which based decision is it usable for drinking or not.

There’s three categories of the parameters:

physical

chemical

microbiological

Physical and chemical parameters include heavy metals, trace organic compounds, total suspended solids and turbidity. If you bought a bottle of water and noticed turbidity inside the bottle – drinking this water would not be a good decision. Send the bottle to analyze, then other people can avoid troubles with bad quality of water. Microbiological parameters include Coliform bacteria, E. and specific pathogenic species of bacteria viruses, and protozoan parasites. Therefore, pay more attention to your health if you started feel not well. Water that you were drinking few hours ago also can be dangerous, if there was is microbiological damaged materials as parasites.

Did you ever noticed that taste of water can be different depending on which brand you buy? Taste of water depends of chemical parameters, because they affect the aesthetics and taste of the drinking water and may complicate the removal of microbial pathogens. Next time when you drinking water of two different brands think, which chemical elements have this taste.

Of course, we can’t be absolutely sure in quality of water, because even if the quality of water is good enough, quality of bottle may be not analogous. That is why on the bottles always written expiry date. Pay more attention to this little things and you will quench thirst by healthy water.
