An open meeting with Olympic and world champions was held in Eurasian National University on the 21st of February. The meeting took place in the concert hall ULK (УЛК) at 14.30. The organizers of this event were students of the Economic Faculty.
The meeting was attended by outstanding Olympic champions – two bronze medals at the World Championships, four stage wins in the Tour de France, four in the Vuelta a España plus the overall title in 2006, two Liège–Bastogne–Liège monuments, one Amstel Gold Race, and most recently, the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympics Men’s Road Race Alexander Vinokourov; Honored Master of Sports of Russia (2005) and the Republic of Kazakhstan (2009). Two-time world champion and two-time European champion, Kazakhstan champion, Asian and Asian weightlifting champion Svetlana Podobedova ; Jiu-Jitsu champion Asel Adamova and master of jiu-jitsu Gulzhan Nakipova. Enough students came to listen to the interviews of athletes. According to the students, the interview was very informative, because they talked about everything-sports, health, childhood and motivation. At the end of the interview they answered to the questions from the audience and told about future plans.
