What do we know about our new prime minister

On February 21st, Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a decree on the resignation of the country’s government. Askar Mamin was appointed Acting Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
Earlier this position was held by Bakhytzhan Sagintayev.
Mamin Askar Uzakpayevich was born on October 23, 1965 in Tselinograd.
Askar Uzakpayevich Mamin – Kazakh political figure, Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, previously First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, served as akim of the city of Astana, as well as Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He began his career as an assembler of trust “Zelintyazhstroy.” First Deputy Mayor of Astana from 1996 to 2008, Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications, First Vice-Minister of Industry and Trade, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akim of Astana.
