TRAINING FOR YEARS FOR THE SUCCESS

Probably there is not anyone who has not heard “Gangnam style” by PSY, Korean singer. This artist’s music video over the 5 years was the record holder for viewing in the YouTube. This phenomenon is the first successful breakthrough of Korean music into the international music arena.

Since then, the Korean music industry has had many changes, and the styles of filing and producing compositions have changed. The opinion of foreign listeners also changed to this unusual approach to the public. Korean artists (also known as idols) practice for  years of under the leadership of entertainment agencies. By the debut they would know how to behave with the audience and what kind of image they should keep.

Such a system of pre-training can not be accepted by all; it is difficult for Kazakhstanis to imagine why young people prefer to learn dance movements and develop their vocal skills instead of studying in schools. For Korean society this is a very acceptable and effective technique, they believe that this will help them become famous performers.

It is important to note that the agencies of these artists pay special attention to the composition of the entire image of each member of the group. Given the fact that in this industry it is often possible to meet groups of 10 or more participants, it is very costly. Image makers, stylists, make- up artists are only a small part of a huge team of workers who stand behind a pleasant image of idols.

It is not surprising that such artists have an incredible number of fans who are very active in supporting and promoting their pets in social networks, helping them to be glorified around the world. Judging by the current state of such eminent groups as BTS, EXO, 2NE1, Girls Generation and others, this method of preparing artists for the debut as a whole is very effective.

It is worth noting that the closing of the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang was conducted by the performance of Korean idols such as EXO and CL(2NE1) which gave them the opportunity to be heard by all the avid spectators of this game.

The same method of preparing artists for the big stage was adopted by our Kazakhstani producers too. The origin of such an idea as Q-POP(Qazaq pop) was a solist of a well-known for Kazakhstanise “Rin’Go” Yerbolat Bedelkhan. We hope that new views on the presentation of music and the creation of groups will affect our Kazakhstani music industry, glorifying it and abroad.
