On Friday, March 8, public transport was free for all women in Astana.
“On March 8, the public transport of the capital for women will be free. This decision of the city administration has been agreed with the carrier” said Nauat Azanbayeva, head of public relations services at Astana LRT, to Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to local authorities, a gift in the form of free travel in public transport to residents of Astana is being given for the first time.
On March 8, not only Astana residents, but also all visiting guests of the capital will be able to travel free of charge in buses.
