The Eurasian National University, in the “Kultegin”(Күлтегін) atrium, hosted an international exhibition-contest dedicated to the day of cosmonautics. More than 100 works of students and undergraduates of the Eurasian University and universities of Russia took part in the contest with the symbolic title “We are children of the planet”. Such competition is truly remarkable, since the guests of the event were many famous, outstanding people of the country. Commander of the Air Force of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Kosanov(Дәурен Қосанов), professor of the International Architecture Academy Salauat Dembai(Салауат Дембай), one of the creators of the “Baiterek”(Бәйтерек) Aituar Ospanov (Айтуар Оспанов), Russian well-known artist-designer Ergali Dautov and many others were invited to be a part of this event. The participants of the contest were also fortunate to meet and have a conversation with the very first Kazakh cosmonaut, the Hero of the Soviet Union, the professor of the art sciences Toktar Aubakirov (Тоқтар Әубәкіров). “The main task of today’s meeting is to communicate with the first Kazakh cosmonaut, to discuss the past and future of the domestic sphere of space. Toktar Aubakirov is a clear example of patriotism, which manifests itself in his words and actions”,- started his opening speech Dikhan Kamzabekuly (Диxан Қамзабекұлы), vice-rector for Strategic Development. The Hero of the Natoon easily and fully answered the questions of the audience, noting that he was very grateful to the people for the honors he had received. The right to cut the ribbon of the exhibition was given to Toktar Aubakirov.
