The history of Kazakhstan is full of significant vents, greatest names, and fateful decisions. Every fight for the fatherland and people is highly honored by tens of generations. However, one day in the historical chronology of the country will remain in the memory of all the people – 16 December.
That day in 1991, the Supreme Council of Kazakhstan adopted the law “On the independence and sovereignty of the state”. A cherished dream, for the sake of which thousands of young boys and girls sacrificed their lives. This is what the country will be grateful for forever.
Independence Day’s celebration is a large scaled, as any other state holiday’s. The feats of ancestors are glorified and the cultural values of the country are promoted that day. This year is no exception. Here are events coming up these weekend, dedicated to this honorable day:

14-31 December – “Tauelsidik belgisi – Astana” exhibition. Location – Independence Palace.
