Tiktok was purchased in September 2016 and firstly was known by the name “Musical.ly”. Tiktok was popular in China, where social network was called “Doyuin”.
The social network Douyin was launched by the Chinese company ByteDance in September 2016. Later, a copy of this application for the international market was released under the name TikTok. This allowed the company to develop globally without violating the laws of their country.
On November 9, 2017, ByteDance acquired the musical.ly social network and on August 2, 2018, combined it with TikTok.
Tiktok is a platform same as for teenagers as for the adults. Various videos and various people can be seen on Tiktok: trends, challenges, celebrities and talented people.
Tiktok is not an ordinary destination for typical mobile videos. It’s raw, real and without boundaries.
