WhatsApp will include an option in the settings of a future version of the service that restricts the addition of users to group chats.
In the privacy settings users will be able to choose who can add them to chats: all users, people from the address book or none. The feature is introduced as a spam countermeasure. You can add a user to any chat without his permission at the moment.
A new feature has begun to work in the latest test version of the messenger. In the near future it will appear in the updated version of the application. Firstly, the innovation will be implemented in the version for Android, later – for iOS.
