On the 11th of February the play “Eugeny Onegin” was held in the Astana’s Drama Theatre named after M.Gorky. The premiere of this performance took place on August 16, 2017.
One of the oldest theaters in Kazakhstan, the State Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after M. Gorky of the city of Astana was created at the end of the XIX century, and now for the second millennium due to the ability to hear and express time and appreciate the truth the theatre has won a steadfast devotion to the audience.
«Eugeny Onegin» is the work of the outstanding Russian writer Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. This catching work of the great poet still stirs people’s hearts but do you imagine this novel in the 21st century style? Director Yuri Kvyatkovsky showed viewers the genius nature of the poet Pushkin and the character of this work.
The last performance surprised the audience with a modern presentation of all familiar poems, colorful decorations, actors’ play, musical accompaniment, costumes of heroes and unexpected decisions of the director. This novel gives the audience a variety of emotions such as laughter, surprise, sadness and pleasure.
This performance has collected a lot of positive feedback from the audience. Spectators after the end of the performance applauded standing. One of the young spectators was interviewed after the end of the play. The girl noted the excellent play of the actors and the unpredictable production of the novel. The spectator was told that despite the fact that she already knows this work the performance was insanely interesting and left only good memories.
Going to the theater is a great way to spend an evening with friends, family or a soul mate. At the Gorky Theatre there will be many more performances.
