Citizens of Astana are waiting for the second concert of Scriptonite that would be on April 21. The performance will pass in the “Barys Arena” at 20:00. Scriptonite is going to present his new double album consisted of two parts “Uroboros: Zerkala” (“Уроборос: Зеркала”) and “Uroboros: Ulica 36” (“Уроборос: Улица 36”). Well-known hits also will be sounded.
Scriptonite (real name is Adil’ Zhalelov (Адиль Жалелов)) is a Kazakh rap-singer and bitmaker, a member of the creative association Gazgolder and the music label Zorski. For the first time he declared himself in 2013 with a video for the song “VBVVCTND“.
Two years later he released his debut album “Dom s normalnymi yavleniyami” (“Дом с нормальными явлениями”), which became one of the most successful Russian-language rap albums of 2015.
“Prazdnik na ulice 36” (“Праздник на улице 36”) the second album was released on May 24, 2017.
December 16, 2017 Scriptonite showed the third work – a double concept album “Uroboros”. The name of the record refers to a mythical creation – the snake uroboros. Adil Zhalelov himself in an interview with Gazeta.Ru explained why the album has such name: “… I realized that this is a very close to me image, combined with the meaning of my numbers – 36 (Adil’s birthday on the 3rd of June). In addition, the image of a snake that eats itself, the principle of self-improvement through self-destruction , to me it is very close from the most different parties ».
About songs from the new album Scriptonite says:
The song “Polozhenie” (“Положение”) is about my relatives, friends who do not want to help themselves.They know all the answers, but they continue to deceive themselves from day to day. “Zhivotnye” (“Животные”) is not about me and my friends, but about those stupid morons which exist in any district and in any city. This song is not so much an excuse as an explanation of how they became like this. I broadcast the bravado of people who are rushing along the stream until they are inundated, who will never know what a big and interesting world. It’s a song about hopelessness, its a cold broadcast.
