You probably have heard scary stories about Friday the 13th. However, what if the possibility of failure in this day is really higher than in others? Let’s look at the incidents that happened on Friday the thirteenth:
13 December 1907 — the crash on the rocks of the seven-mast schooner “Thomas W. Lawson” the largest ship of its class.
13 November 1942 — “Battle of Friday the 13th”, a naval battle during the battle of Guadalcanal. Ended with a crushing defeat of the allies.
13 June 1947 year — on the Blue ridge in West Virginia (USA) crashed Douglas C-54 airliner, killing 50 people.
13 May 1949 — an Il-12 airliner crashed near Novosibirsk, killing 25 people.
13 July 1956 — in the state of new Jersey Douglas Liftmaster transport plane crashed, killing 46 people. It is noteworthy that the plane was flying № 13.
13 October 1972 year — near Moscow Il-62 airliner crashed , killing 174 people. At that time it was the largest plane crash in the world.
13 October 1972 — FH-227 disaster in the Andes. 72 days after the crash survived and had to resort to cannibalism.
