The winners of the hackathon, who received a special grant from the akim of Astana, visited Skolkovo, as the Astana akimat reports.
The MyStopBus project solved the task set by «Astana LRT» – to automate the development of a map of bus stops and routes. If it took up to two hours to compose one card-scheme before, then after implementing the know-how of the capital’s students it would take no more than 10 seconds.
“That is, the entire process is automated. We get the open data of Astana, get the coordinates of the public transports, their routes, stops, names. All information is processed automatically, and at the output draws a diagram. The process of creating one card took an hour and a half from the designer before, now it will be done in less than 10 seconds on the computer, “- said one of the developers of the project Mahmud Galy (Махмуд Галы).
Know-how of students of the ENU named after L.Gumilev will be introduced in Astana in the near future. It was selected from a dozen other works presented at the Аstana Innovatoins Challenge 2018 aimed to implement the concept of “smart city”. The creators of the project Mahmud Galy, Meirkhan Yeseyev (Мейрхан Есеев) and Shagi Lesbek (Шагы Лесбек) received a special grant from akim of Astana: an internship opportunity at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow. They passed short-term training, got an opportunity to evaluate the project there.
“Development is really interesting. We will acquaint the administration of the cities of the Russian Federation with it. If it is interesting to them, the project could be implemented. It should be noted that it is not inferior to the quality and setting of tasks that are facing urban motor transport. The work is applied, and the solution of the problem is original, “- commented the head of the department of regional development of the Skolkovo Foundation Alexander Okunev (Алекандр Окунев) to the official website of the Akimat of Astana.
It is worth noting that start-up marathons, aimed to create innovative social projects, aroused great interest among developers. The initiator and organizer is Akimat of Astana and JSC “Astana Innovations”.
